What is pressomassage?

Pressotherapy, also known as pressomassage, is a therapeutic treatment widely used in both medical and aesthetic fields. It involves applying external pressure to the patient’s limbs and abdomen using a special device to improve lymphatic and venous circulation. This type of treatment can be performed year-round for both male and female clients.

How does pressomassage work?

The effect of pressotherapy consists of compressing the body’s extremities and abdomen as physiologically as possible, similar to the body’s “muscle pump.” This facilitates the movement of fluids from the extremities toward the heart.
The main difficulty faced by venous blood and lymph is that they must move against the force of gravity, that is, from bottom to top. This is achieved without the support of a push from behind, like that provided by the heart to the arterial circulation.
The treatable areas are normally the limbs and the abdominal area, using applicators (normally divided into at least 4 sections) that are worn by the patient (leg warmers, armbands or abdominal band), and inflated sequentially (from the most extreme section such as the foot or hand, towards the trunk).

Our Exclusive Protocol

Pressomassage | Exclusive Protocol

Our Protocol, however, is Exclusive!

We don’t just perform pressotherapy with state-of-the-art equipment, but our protocol also combines the machine’s work with manual emptying of the main lymph nodes before and after treatment. This allows the body to more easily expel toxins and waste products. Foot pressotherapy can often be performed in conjunction with facial treatments for overall well-being. Foot pressotherapy treatment can be an excellent aid in combating lower limb edema and orange peel skin (among the various causes of cellulite, an alteration of lymphatic and venous circulation is included). It can reduce a whole series of blemishes and problems resulting from fluid retention, including: cellulite, fat deposits, swollen legs, and tissue hypotonia. Goodbye, swollen legs and feet! From the first session, in fact, you can experience a general sensation of well-being and lightness in the lower limbs.

Post Treatment Phase

Many patients feel the need to urinate after pressotherapy treatment. This diuretic stimulus is due to the movement of body fluids that the machine induces during treatment.
Some tips to ensure the effects last as long as possible. Therapists recommend adopting a lifestyle that prevents fluid retention. This can be achieved by avoiding alcohol, cigarettes, and reducing salt in your diet. Finally, keeping the treated limbs off-load (when possible).
